Just like in spoken language, there are cultural norms around introducing yourself in ASL. It's customary to introduce yourself using your first name only, unless the situation is formal. The speed of signing your name can vary depending on the context. If you're meeting someone for the first time, you might sign your name slower to ensure the other person catches it. In familiar company, you might sign your name quicker.
Most Deaf people may also have a 'sign name', a unique sign that represents their identity. This is usually given by someone within the Deaf community and is used in addition to their signed name. If you have a sign name, you sign that after your spell out your name.
