How to Sign "Science" in Sign Language

Science in ASL is one of those signs that resembles actions performed in a lab. Hopefully this sign is one that you can remember!

Signing “Science”

  1. Hand shape: Form both hands into an extended “A” handshape with the thumbs extended
  2. Hand location: Bring hands at about chest level
  3. Movement: Rotate the hands in a circular motion downward, representing pouring beakers from each hand
  4. Facial expression: Maintain a neutral facial expression, focusing on clarity of hand movements.
