How to Sign "Happy Friday" in Sign Language

Signing "Happy"

  1. Hand Position: Start with your dominant hand open, palms facing towards your body.
  2. Starting Placement: Place your dominant hand in front of your chest.
  3. Movement: Move both hands upward, in a sweeping motion, as if you're brushing your body. This motion suggests a feeling of happiness spreading from inside of you.
  4. Facial Expression: Naturally, when signing "happy," you should have a cheerful facial expression to match the emotion of the word.

Signing "Friday"

  1. Hand Position: Start with your dominant hand in an "F" shape, which is done by closing your hand into a fist and extending your thumb and index finger.
  2. Starting Placement: Position your dominant hand between your chest and chin, palm facing your body.
  3. Movement: Move your hand in a repetitive counter-clockwise circle.
  4. Facial Expression: Maintain a neutral facial expression. However, this can change depending on the context or the sentiment you wish to express about Friday.
