Dogs have a special place in our hearts. It's likely a signer you meet would love to share about their most loyal companion. This sign is super intuitive and easy to remember. You'll definitely be prepared for any interaction!

Signing "Dog"

  1. Hand Shape: Use your dominant hand in a "D" handshape, with your thumb and index finger extended and the other fingers curled into a fist.
  2. Sign Location: Position your hand near your chest, slightly to the side.
  3. Movement: Move your "D" handshape forward and backward slightly, mimicking the motion of snapping your fingers.
  4. Facial Expression: Wear a warm and affectionate facial expression to convey your love for dogs.

Note

If you look closely, the snapping of the fingers actually spells out D-O-G!
