How to Sign “Bedroom” in Sign Language

Whether you’re keeping it PG or not, the bedroom is a relevant place for us all! We won’t tell you how to use this word, but we will share how to sign it!

Signing “Bedroom”

  1. Hand shape: Both hands should be in a closed “5” handshape.
  2. Hand location: First, to sign “bed,” place your dominant hand against your face, as if mimicking sleeping. Then, to sign “room,” take both hands, palm facing each other, side by side, fingers forward.
  3. Movement: First sign “bed.” Then sign “room,” moving your hands in one switch motion from facing each other to both hands face your body.
  4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.
