How To Sign Meeting in Sign Language

In sign language, the sign for “meeting” can be used as we understand it in the physical workplace, but can also refer to “conference” or “gathering.” This sign can come in extra handy to schedule time together at work!

Directions for Signing “Meeting” in Sign Language

  1. Hand position: Bend both hands with their thumbs in contact. Face palms and fingers upward.
  2. Placement: Place your hands in front of you, palms facing each other, with the thumbs and index fingers touching.
  3. Movement: With the thumbs touching each other and palms facing each other, bring the rest of the fingers together twice


Meeting is a useful sign to know in the workplace. While this sign can be used for a gathering, it can also be used for work meetings.
