How to Sign “Run” in Sign Language

Running is not only a great form of exercise, but it also releases endorphins which can improve mood and reduce stress levels - making it the perfect activity to lift your spirits after a long day.

Signing “Run”

  1. Hand shape: Start with your hands in a “bent-L” handshape, with your index fingers bent.
  2. Hand location: Bring your hands in front of your body at about chest level. Hook your dominant index to you non-dominant thumb
  3. Movement: Move boths hands forward, while bending your non-dominant index finger multiple times.
  4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.
